About

‘Be Seen’. This is the last thing I hear before I go out on a run, or a ride, or a quick trip to the grocery store on my bicycle. Eric never fails to remind me. Be Seen by those around you.
Be Seen is a simple reminder.
Be Seen is wearing bright and reflective clothing.
Be Seen is using flashing lights on your front and back.
Be Seen is being predictable to traffic.
Be Seen is reaching the finish line on your own terms.

Lisa on Pharaoh Racer

Be Seen is the vision of Eric and Lisa Fenstermacher. As dedicated age-group triathletes living in Dallas. TX, they appreciate the need to be safe and aware on the roads. Unfortunately it seems everyone involved in an outdoor lifestyle knows someone that knows someone with a tragic story. Eric and Lisa want to help these stories change to tales of accomplishment. The most effective mechanism to achieve this is through education and awareness. They firmly believe that awareness is the precursor to change. Be Seen out there and stay safe.

Lisa and Eric with Be Seen

Lisa and Eric

Eric has roots in Texas where he played elite soccer before joining the Golden Hurricanes at the University of Tulsa. Soccer took him to Europe and Eric became accustomed to small town living, cafes, German beer and using his bicycle as transportation. Back in Texas, Eric transitioned to endurance sports, and now competes in triathlons, marathons and bike criteriums. He is dedicated to the sporting life and trains with full-force and a disciplined attitude. He understands the dangers of training on the road and always keeps his head up. Eric is a helper, believing in safe training methods and wanting others to see the value in being visible while reaching their goals.

Lisa grew up in Australia, moving to Dallas in 2004 on a whim. She has been active her entire life, delving into the world of triathlon in 2006. Lisa finds triathlon to be a great motivator, and enjoys the discipline of the sport, variety, and friendly triathlon community. Lisa also enjoys being a steward of our beautiful planet, encouraging others to preserve and protect the world around them. She is an advocate for a sustainable food chain and promotes buying fresh, locally grown produce. Lisa volunteers in animal rescue and shares her home with some of the furry critters that were well deserving of a second chance.
